CLIFF HOUSE MAINE

cliff house maine luxury hotel on the water in New England

Jon and I recently stayed at Cliff House in Maine and we had the BEST time! This hotel is so stunning and it was the perfect winter getaway. Located right on the water in Cape Neddick, it couldn’t be any more stunning. The food was incredible and there was so much to do, even in the winter! I highly, highly recommend for a New England winter weekend getaway. We can’t wait to go back in the Summer and have a totally different trip!

THINGS TO DO

The property at Cliff House is absolutely stunning! Even in the winter, the beauty of Maines coast is unmatched. We loved spending time in the hot tub which was massive and heated to the perfect temp. Something fun and unique about Cliff House is that everyone walks around in the Cliff House robes and slippers that are in each guests hotel room. It was fun to be so cozy walking down to the hot tub!

We also went into town on Saturday which was super fun! It’s a very cute downtown which shops, cafes and restaurants. We got hot chocolate at Mornings in Paris and then did a little Christmas shopping.

Here is a little recap video of our weekend:

THE FOOD

The food was AMAZINGGGGG! There are two restaurants on the property: The Tiller and Nubb’s Lobster Shack. Both were incredible and every meal we had was perfect. I am not a huge seafood person… but I tried Jon’s haddock at The Tiller and I even loved it - that definitely says a lot!

Heres a recap of the restaurants:

THE SPA

Ok… so this was my favorite part of the whole weekend :) Seriously the BEST spa I have ever been to. I love spas, and feel like I have been to a decent amount of spas at hotels and resorts, but this one takes the cake! The views were incredible, the service was amazing, and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. Jon and I did a couples massage and we were in their ocean front couples room. The view from the room was so stunning. If you travel to Cliff House, be sure not to pass up a day at the spa!

CABO BACHELORETTE TRIP

cabo-8356.jpg

Last week I went on my bachelorette trip and it was one of the best vacations I have ever been on! I had never been to Mexico so Cabo was my first experience and it was absolutely stunning. I was so happy with how well all my bridesmaids bonded (they are all friends from different times of my life rather than one friend group!). We all had such an amazing time and it was so hard to leave! Below I give you guys the details on everything we did! I highly, highly suggest having your bachelorette trip in Cabo!

HOUSE

Casa Mariposa: located in Punta Bella, about 25 minutes North East of downtown Cabo. A six bedroom villa with a large pool nestled on its very own private beach. The home comes with house keepers and a chef who will make you breakfast and lunch every day as well as keep the house clean and make beds, etc.!

I also was able to get an awesome discount for you all!! Just email booking@casamariposacabo.com and mention my name or DM their instgram page and mention my name!

https://www.casamariposacabo.com

Transportation Company: All Ways Cabo was amazing and made sure we got everywhere safely! Highly recommend!

RESTAURANTS

The office: Located in downtown Cabo and perfect for your “going out” night! All tables in set in the sand right on the beach, there is live music, and it has a very “club” like feel with firework bottle service! This is a great place for bachelorette groups and has such a fun atmosphere.

IMG_0365.JPG

Sur Beach House: This restaurant is gorgeous. Perfect for a more relaxed dinner or come here for brunch and spend a few hours at the beach here. It’s a super instagramable spot because it has a very neutral color scheme. It also has one of the most “swimmable” beaches in Cabo.

The Waldorf Astoria: If you are coming to Cabo, you need to experience the Waldorf. This is one of the most gorgeous hotels in the world. You drive through a carved out mountain and open right out to the ocean to arrive at the hotel. We came just for a drink before the office since it’s more on the pricey side but it was well worth it!

EXCURSIONS:

Seashine Adventures: On Wednesday we rented a 60” Sunseeker and we were able to see Cabo from the ocean! The staff from this company were incredible. Everyone was so nice and made sure we had a great time!! We took a four hour charter and they provided us with drinks and lunch. They also had a bunch of floats and made sure we got an instagram worthy photo at the Arch!

Real Baja Tours: We decided to go ATVing on our last day in Cabo and we had an absolute blast! Again, the employees made all the difference. I seriously think that Mexico has the sweetest and most hospitable people. Alan was our tour guide and he led us down mountains, through sand deserts, and out to the ocean. It was truly incredible and so much fun.

Celestus Studio: So I am not sure if you would call this an “excursion” but I didn't know what other topic to put it under so here we are! One of the things I know for sure I wanted to do on my bachelorette trip was a professional photoshoot. I love photos, and I wanted to make sure we got some incredible photos to remember my bachelorette trip! I gifted each one of my girls a new swimsuit from my brand and paid for a photoshoot as a thank you for them coming on this incredible trip! We got some amazing photos and videos and I am so thankful I will have these memories!

AC HOTEL BOSTON NORTH | Hotel Review

AC11.jpg

The AC Hotel Boston North was the second AC Marriott hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. The Boston North location did not disappoint! The thing I love about AC Marriott’s, is you know you will be staying at a beautiful hotel. AC Marriott’s all have gorgeous modern decor, wonderful staff, great amenities and amazing food. They have everything you need and they have five locations all around Boston.

AC12.JPG

Jon and I were really excited to stay at the Boston North location because we had never been to the new Assembly Row. We had so much fun exploring a new area of Boston that has so much to offer!

I truly think hotel decor makes all the difference. I love how modern and sleek every AC Marriott is. When you walk into the lobby, you immediately feel a sense to European luxury. Each room is designed to have everything you need and the staff at the AC Marriott’s make sure your stay is the least stressful as possible! We all know traveling can be stressful, so staying somewhere where people know how to help you unwed and relax is amazing.

Another great perk at the AC Marriott is the gym. Hands down, one of the nicest and cleanest hotel gyms I have seen. This gym has a very luxurious feel, everything you need, and additional perks like water bottles, headphones and even a piece of fruit for post workout. I always love a good hotel gym because they are a great way to de-stress and stay healthy while you are traveling.

If you are looking for a hotel in Boston, one of the 5 AC Hotel’s will definitely suit your needs! Check out their website here to book your stay: https://www.achotelsboston.com

SOUTHERNMOST BEACH RESORT HOTEL REVIEW

0F62495D-AF41-4B7A-A2F2-DCC21D2D196A.JPG

The second stop on our Keys vacation was Key West! You can’t go to the Key’s and not see Key West! Key West is definitely different, but it’s so much fun and something you have to experience.

IMG_1409.JPG

During our time in Key West, we stayed at The Southernmost Beach Resort. This resort is a block from the Southernmost point of the continental USA. Jon and I made sure to be proper tourists and take photo with the Southernmost point sign!

The Southernmost Beach Resort was beautiful! It is a huge property with three pools, two beaches, a tanning pier, and hammocks everywhere. You truly feel like you are in a tropical paradise.

I love sitting by the pool or ocean and tanning, but you can only do that for so long. Jon and I love when resorts offer activities or have cool amenities. Southernmost had awesome bikes that you could rent for the day so we used those to explore the town of Key West! Right when we rented the bikes, it started down pouring, but honestly, the feels like temp was close to 100 so we really didn’t mind! We rode by the Naval base, by Ernest Hemingway’s home and up the top of Duval Street. When the rain really started coming down hard, we headed into Hogs Breath Saloon to listen to the live music and get lunch. We ended up having to stay there for a good 2 hours due to how hard the rain was coming down!

Overall, we had SO much fun in Key West. We loved Southernmost for so many reasons but I’d say the top things were: location, size of resort and amount of things to do! If you are planning a trip to Key West, I highly suggest staying at Southernmost!

CHEECA LODGE & SPA HOTEL REVIEW

This year, Jon and I decided to vacation in the Florida Keys. The thing that is so great about The Keys is there are so many destinations. The first stop on our trip was The Cheeca Lodge & Spa!

Safe to say, this was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had the opportunity to stay at. As you drive in the entrance to the resort, there are lush palm trees and tropical plants surrounding the road. It makes you feel as though you have escaped to a remote tropical island (sure doesn’t feel like typical Florida!).

Screen Shot 2019-05-17 at 11.19.41 AM.png

Cheeca Lodge & Spa is located on the island of Islamorada (same island Bloodline was filmed on!). Islamorada is one of the earlier Keys, only a 20 mile drive from Key Largo. It’s a little over and hour and half drive from the Miami airport.

Cheecaroom.jpg

We only had enough time to stay at Cheeca for one night, but I can 100% say that I will be returning to this beautiful resort for a longer stay! One of the things Jon and I both loved about Cheeca was the amount of activities to do! We arrived pretty early in the day so our room wasn’t ready for us yet. We threw on some workout gear, tossed a bathing suit in our bag, and went and played a round of tennis! The resort has 4 tennis courts and free rackets and balls! About half an hour in we called it a game because we couldn’t handle the heat!

I have to say, the food at Cheeca was truly incredible. I feel like hotels can be hit or miss with the food, Cheeca is definitely a hit! All of our meals were amazing. I even tried FISH! Anyone who knows me knows I hate seafood… I tired the Yellow Tail and I actually didn’t mind it. You know the chef is pretty amazing when he can make even me like fish!

tub2.JPG

Over all, the hotel was stunning. We had the opportunity to stay in one of the rooms with a hot tub on the balcony, and let me just tell ya, it was something out a dream. One, it was the biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in, and two, it had a HOT TUB on the balcony. I don’t think you can get more luxury than that!

The property has two pools, multiple restaurants, a tiki bar, tennis courts, water sports, meeting and event spaces, a 9 hole golf course, a full spa and so much more. There are endless options of things to do a this resort! It would be impossible to get bored! Make sure you keep an eye on their website because they are actually opening a 3rd pool and second tiki hut soon! We were able to see the construction of the pool and it will be an infinity pool that looks right over the ocean! I can’t wait to get back there when it’s finished!

Be sure to check out the Cheeca website and book your stay! https://www.cheeca.com

BEST HOTELS IN BARBADOS

BARBADOS28.jpg

Barbados will always have a special place in our hearts. For Jon and I, this was out first far away international vacation together (I don’t really consider Bahamas international because it’s so close). We went to Barbados for one week and stayed in two hotels while we were there. We seriously had the most amazing trip.

BARBADOS6.jpg

The first half of the trip, we stayed at the an all inclusive hotel called Sea Breeze Beach House. Our room was stunning, the whole property was amazing, and the energy was so fun at this resort! The water was also SO warm in Barbados. I loved that because I love to swim in the ocean. The first few days, we relaxed. And boy, did we need it! Jon and I work VERY different types of jobs, but we were both extremely over worked and over stressed. The vacation came at the perfect time.

On the third day, we had a catamaran cruise with Silver Moon Barbados! This was one of the best experiences of my life. The catamaran was like a mega yacht and so beautiful. We had lunch on the boat which was delicious. But the best part was that we got to swim with sea turtles! This was SO cool to see these incredible animals up close and personal. Make sure you watch my travel vlogs that are linked below so you can see the turtles!

BARBADOS66.jpg

For the second half of the trip, we stayed at regular hotel called Ocean Two Barbados. This hotel was just as stunning, but it wasn’t all inclusive. We used the days while we were staying at this hotel to really explore Barbados! One day, we visited Mount Gay Rum which is the oldest rum distillery in the world. The next day we rented a little no door buggy car and drove up the whole island! We stopped at every major landmark on the way. This was something I will never forget with Jon. Experiencing new things together for the first time is truly an amazing bonding experience.

Overall, we LOVED Barbados! It was seriously one of the best vacations both Jon and I have ever been on. Barbados is definitely an island that I would visit again! Also, fun fact: Barbados is located right outside of the hurricane belt of islands so you don’t have to worry about that! I’d say thats a plus!

Have you ever been to Barbados!? Let me know in the comments!

XV BEACON HOTEL IN BOSTON

XVBEACON-2.JPG

If you read the “about me” page, you would see that Boston is my favorite city in the world. It’s where I am from and it’s where I plan to move back to this summer! I haven’t stayed in that many hotels in Boston because it’s my home town and I have so much family around, but I was super excited to have the opportunity to stay at the XV Beacon.

I would consider the XV Beacon to be one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at before. The reason we were in Boston was for an interview for my boyfriend and I had a few meetings. My boyfriend also had a high school alumni event so I got to hang out at the hotel myself that night! I have to admit, I’m such a people person, but I LOVE my alone time.

I had myself a night :) I ordered room service, I took a bubble bath, I relaxed… It was very well needed! For room service, I got an incredible fresh pasta with heirloom tomatoes on top. It was so delicious and it was pretty cool having it served right to my room (I can’t say I do this a lot!). After dinner, I called house keeping and they brought me up customer muscle relaxing bath salts. It was so incredibly relaxing and I loved everything minute of it.

I highly suggest the XV Beacon to anyone looking for a hotel to stay at in Boston! It’s a great location because you are right on the edge of Beacon Hill, it’s super clean and very stunning. Wether you need a hotel with your family, you need a date night get away with your significant other, or you just want to teat yourself to a girls night, be sure to check out XV Beacon!

MARENAS BEACH RESORT MIAMI

IMG_3464 2.JPG

The Marenas Beach Resort is located up in Sunny Isles Beach which is basically North Miami Beach. I personally love the location because it’s not in all the craziness of South Beach! You are able to have your relaxing beach getaway, yet, you can hop in a cab down to South Beach any time you want! You also get the privilege of having less crowded beaches! If you have ever experienced South Beach during spring break, you know what I am saying!

I have now stayed at Marenas twice! One with my momma for a mother daughter trip, and one with my girl friends! Both times were amazing! The staff at this hotel is seriously top notch. Both times I stayed there, the hotel treated us to a breakfast on our balcony. Theres something about experiencing a private, chef made, 5 star breakfast on your ocean front balcony that makes you feel like you are in a dream. Every meal we had at Marenas was incredible. I had the pleasure of meeting the head chefs as well and they were just as nice as their food is delicious!

Traveling to Marenas with my girl friends was so much fun. Every day, the staff would have two giant beach beds set up for us in the morning so we spent majority of our days at the beach! We traveled for a content creation trip so we were taking photos pretty much the whole time we were there, but when you are staying at a hotel as pretty as Marenas, that doesn’t feel like work at all!

MOLLYRT11.jpg

The rooms as Marenas are amazing! I highly suggest this hotel to anyone traveling with multiple people, families, or people who just like to have a lot of space but don’t want to pay crazy prices. We had a one bedroom suite which connected to another bedroom. The suites are amazing because they have a full kitchen, two full bathrooms (plus another full bathroom in the connected room), and a full living area with a wrap around balcony. It seriously can’t get any better! The room was more sq feet than my apartment!

One of the coolest parts about this hotel is their pent house suite! The pent house unit that I got to see was a one bedroom suite. The room was just like our room, but the difference was that there was a spiral staircase up to the roof top… On your PRIVATE roof top, you have a huge sectional couch with a fire pit, a full dining room size table to have meals at, lawn chairs to tan on, enough room for activities, oh and did I mention? a freaking HOT TUB! Like what? If there is a private hot tub on a rooftop, count me in. I highly suggest anyone who has a bachelorette party coming up or something like that, book the pent house! You won’t regret it :)

Overall, Marenas Beach Resort is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Miami now that I suggest to everyone looking for a warm weather getaway! I cannot wait to get back there myself!

GRAND HYATT BAHA MAR

IMG_3437_Facetune_30-01-2018-14-13-54.JPG

I believe that traveling feeds your soul. Traveling is a vital aspect in personal growth, greater happiness and understanding the world on a larger scale. Recently, my boyfriend, Jon, and I were lucky enough to travel to the Bahamas and stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar.

Baha Mar is a brand new resort on the island of Nassau. It is now the largest resort with the biggest casino in the Caribbean.

Our overall experience at Baha Mar was amazing. The resort is large enough that there is always something to do and there were enough restaurants on the resort to go to a new place every night.

The pools at Baha Mar are incredible. In total, there are 6 pools on the property and each one has a different vibe. Jon and I are both kids at heart so we loved the pool with the waterfall and cliff driving area. This pool also has a cove that has views of the wildlife sanctuary.

IMG_3354.jpg

We mostly spent our days relaxing by the pool, swimming in the ocean, and exploring the Bahamas. At night, we ate. Jon and I both agree that a huge part of traveling is the food. Trying new food and new restaurants is so much fun and trying them together is a great bonding experience. We had so many amazing meals. Thank God Baha Mar has a beautiful gym where we could also get our fitness on after indulging all night! Life is all about balance, am I right?

The water in the Bahamas is incredible. At Baha Mar, there is a beautiful pier and when you walk down the dock, it feels like a dream land. The views are like something out of a movie. We couldn’t pass up this chance to get some amazing photos for Molly J Swim

I loved having so many options for swimwear to wear on our vacation. The first two days, I wore the Jojo bikini. The first day I wore black and the second day I work the army green. I love these suits for tanning because you don’t get any crazy tan lines! These suits were perfect to get a nice base tan. I also loved wearing my first ever (and favorite!) suit, the Kiki in ruby red. This suit looked great given its contrast with the turquoise water.

IMG_3197.jpg

The last day of our vacation we had planned to go to Pearl Island but it was canceled due to weather. We decided to go into downtown Nassau instead. The location of Baha Mar is great because it’s kinda close to everything. It was a quick taxi ride to downtown and we were able to explore the city and have an amazing lunch at Cafe Martinique. I personally love how everything is so colorful in the Bahamas. Even the court house was pastel pink. It’s impossible not to be happy in the Bahamas.

Overall, Jon and I had an amazing vacation. They say the best way to get to know someone is to travel with them. Even though we have been dating for four years, traveling together allows you to learn even more. Both Jon and I loved Baha Mar. We were so sad when we had to leave and we really hope to get back there soon!
